Mikunga is a small tented camp set in woodland between the town of Mto wa Mbu and the northeast shore of Lake Manyara.
The camp itself pleasant enough, with a dozen or so quite basic tents encircling a simple restaurant and bar area.
If you were to need lower cost lodging here then Mikunga may be the best bet, but we generally prefer to skip this busy Manyara area and stop a little further north in beautiful farmlands around Karatu, most notably at Gibbs Farm.
