Natron Camp is a remote roadside lodge which services the relatively light traffic passing through this remote area and especially acts as a basecamp for hikers making an attempt on the nearby active volcano Oldonyo Lengai.
Standards at the lodge are not reliably high, but are generally acceptable to the kind of outdoorsy guest that the area attracts.
We use Natron Camp for virtually all our trips through here. Somehow the rawness of the camp suits the wildness of the landscape and any discomforts are well worth enduring to visit this wonderful place.
