Located out on the plain just to the south of Lake Natron, this camp is exposed to a very harsh environment, hot and often windswept. A unique solution was needed to create a useable facility.
The resulting 'desert combat' safari camp tends to generate mixed feelings ... respect for its innovation, but nagging doubts as to whether putting a camp out on these plains was really such a good idea in the first place.
Although this camp offers better quality than nearby Natron Camp, we usually lean towards the latter as it is lower cost and there are trees to sit under.
