Crater Forest Camp is located in the Karatu area just to the south of the Ngorongoro Crater in Northern Tanzania.
This rather pleasant little tented camp is situated on the edge of the Ngorongoro forest, looking out over beautiful farmland.
There are 15 tented rooms raised up on stilts and a lovely shaggy restaurant and bar area.
Although rather a long bumpy ride off the main road, this place is a decent overnight stop and is especially good value for money when used in conjuction with any of its related properties ... Tindiga Camp, Ikoma Camp, Natron Camp and Speke Bay Lodge.
