Ngorongoro Farmhouse is located in the scenic farmlands of Karatu, close to the Ngorongoro Crater in Northern Tanzania.
This relatively new lodge has been designed and constructed to reasonably high standards. The location is closer to the Ngorongoro park gate than the other lodges in the area, but the landscape is rather more open and marginally attractive.
Although we do find the place to be quite pleasant, it definitely does not have the old world charm of Gibbs Farm, nor does it offer the intimacy and quality of Plantation Lodge and in consequence we tend to recommend it only quite rarely.
