Plantation Lodge is a high-end German owned guestfarm, located on a prominent hilltop just north of the town of Karatu.
As you can see from the photos, the place has the feeling of a rather posh home. The service is intimate, discrete and high quality ... not quite what one might find in South Africa, but going that way.
Although we do like this lodge and use it quite frequently, we do slightly prefer the nearby Gibbs Farm for its position and its sense of history.
