The presence of permanent water in the central Seronera valley ensures year round game-viewing. As well as good resident game, during the dry season Jul/Oct lion and cheetah are forced to come in off the plains and congregate in extremely high numbers. Additionally the migration tends to pass through northwards in May/Jun and southwards in Nov/Dec, hanging around longer if there is no rain on the plains.

Unfortunately Seronera also takes the main load of visitors and vehicle traffic can be high.

Our usual solution is use mobile camps in around the periphery and 'raid' into Seronera as necessary. Ronjo Camp is our usual mid-range mobile camp option, Olakira Serengeti Camp rather higher specification.
