Grumeti River Camp is pleasantly located amongst riverine forrest on an oxbow lake, close by to the Grumeti river in the western corridor of the Serengeti. This is the place to be during the northern migration in May and June, as well as being a pleasant remote backwater the remainder of the year.
Being part of the CCA chain, the camp is elegant and reliable, but pricey.
We use this camp a fair bit during the migration months, although availability is often difficult. At other times, we generally prefer to head to the Mara or North Serengeti areas for quality remote safari.
