Mount Meru is an impressive freestanding volcano, which were it not for its much larger neighbour, would receive a great deal more attention.

The reason we do not operate this climb very often is that most of our guests ultimately opt for the one of the fabulous treks in the Ngorongoro and Natron areas to the west, which bring a lot more of the flavour of this part of Africa than the pure high altitude areas.
