Ruaha River Lodge is located in Ruaha National Park in Southern Tanzania.
As you might expect of the oldest lodge in the park, it is located on the river at the heart of the best game area. Over the years the lodge has grown in rather haphazard fashion to become a sprawling place, hosting the lower end of the visitor traffic into the park. In recent years there has been a recognition of the camp's failings and improvements are in hand, with nice new rooms already having been constructed along the riverfront.
If the simple outdoorsiness of Mdonya Camp does not appeal, then this much larger facility is next best in the lower price band.
