Mbega Camp is located just outside the East Gate of the Selous Game Reserve in Southern Tanzania.
As well as the location being less than ideal, this East Gate area being the busy end of the park, the lodge itself is basic and feels distinctly underfunded.
Father and son owners Wolfgang and Sacha Heep specialise in low cost overland trips combining this camp with another rather basic facility down on the coast.
