Mbuyu Lodge is in an excellent location on the north bank of the Rufiji river in the Selous Game Reserve in Southern Tanzania.
The main building is pleasantly constructed around a huge baobab tree. Beyond that two rows of around 20 rooms line the riverbank.
Last time we visited the whole place seemed to be bearly operational and falling into serious disrepair.
Latest information indicates that the camp is no longer operational and up for sale. There is some good potential here for the right buyer, but the prices quoted are very high.
