Mivumo River Lodge is located in the Selous Game Reserve in southern Tanzania.
Situated at the downstream entrance to Steigler's Gorge, this small luxury camp is built across the side of a steep slope with views out across the Rufiji river. The 12 suites are extremely well appointed, with large lounges and outside decks with plunge pools. Central areas are similarly luxurious, stepped down from the central restaurant and lounge to the pool deck below.
A very high specification new camp, but there are some aspects, such as the presence of televisions in the rooms, which have us nervous about the tonality.
