Rufiji River Camp is located just inside the East Gate of Selous Game Reserve in Southern Tanzania.
This is one of those old-fashioned safari camps that tend to be popular with ex-pats and old-stagers, but which has perhaps lost ground as new camps have come online. The main downsides are the busy location and, with 24 rooms, the large size.
In this lower price band, Rufiji River competes with the rustic but highly rated Lake Manze Camp and the newer Selous Riverside Camp.
We have booked Rufiji River sporadically over the years and feedback has been reasonable.
