Selous Wilderness Camp is located in the Selous game reserve in southern Tanzania.
Opened in late 2009, this camp lies outside of the reserve's eastern boundary on the south side of the river. Access is via the airstrip on the north bank, where the lodge vehicles are also based for gamedrives. Walking safari is carried out on south side. Whether the camp is able to operate motorboat safaris into the park is presently in dispute.
Selous Wilderness Camp is a surprisingly well presented little place, intimate and very good value for money. Perhaps nice to use in combination with somewhere like Lake Manze Camp inside the reserve.
