Katavi is said to have the highest biodensity of any national park in Africa.
The park is centred around a large swampy grassland into which game migrates from a much larger surrounding hinterland. Game-viewing here can be nothing short of awesome, especially the huge herds of buffalo and amazing numbers of hippo.
Feedback from customers consistently backs up our opinion. This is a very cool place to safari, very remote and very wild ... a throwback to nineteenth century Africa.
Katavi is also expensive and difficult to get to, but
Chada Camp in particular is well worth the effort.
