The accommodation provided at park headquarters here is suprisingly good.
The only problem is that in order to use it you need to find a way to get here, which basically means hitching down the lake from Kigoma and you have to be totally self-sufficient in terms of food and equipment.
In other words, this is only an option for the seriously independent traveller, with time to burn.
