Lunga River Camp is located on the banks of the river on the northeast border of the Kafue National Park. As well as being a good base for boat safaris, this mainly dry miombo woodland can offer some interesting game-viewing, especially leopard.
The camp itself is a rather tired and dated affair, but the new owners make sure that it is being as well presented as possible, presumably in advance of a major overhaul.
Lunga River Lodge is often visited for 2 or 3 nights in combination with Busanga, Kapinga or Shumba camps inside the park.
