The town of Livingstone is a pleasantly ramshackle affair with a distinctly faded colonial atmosphere. It really is rather interesting, in a low-key kind of way.

The only accommodation in town itself are backpacker lodges and local hotels.

The falls themselves are about ten minutes drive out of town to the south, through a semi-rural national park area.

Perched right on top of the falls themselves, almost within spray range, are the two major mainstream hotels. Royal Livingstone is slightly more upmarket and pricey, whilst Zambezi Sun is the cheaper end of the same facility.
