Lower Zambezi National Park is a very significant part of a much larger trans-frontier wilderness area here in the Zambezi valley.
This is a really fabulous park, able to offer really high quality safari by vehicle, foot, motorboat and canoe, in a wonderfully wild and scenic setting. Viewing elephant from the water is a particular highlight. In true Zambian style the
lodges and camps are generally small, simple and intimate, the higher end ones also being elegant and slick.
Although usually visited in combination with
South Luangwa and
Livingstone, Lower Zambezi can stand alone. A seven night stay spread between two camps here is one of the best and easiest one week safaris in Africa, especially for UK customers who can fly direct with BA into Lusaka.
