Lower Zambezi National Park is a very significant part of a much larger trans-frontier wilderness area here in the Zambezi valley.
The main feature of a safari here is the river, which is accessed by motorboat and canoe. Viewing elephant from the water is a particular highlight.
Chiawa Camp and satellite
Old Mondoro Bushcamp are generally considered to be the leading lodges in the park.
We particularly like
Chongwe River Camp, which is lower cost and a little more laid back, whilst
Chongwe River House is superb for private groups.
