Chiawa Camp is located in the western sector of Lower Zambezi National Park.
This family run camp was the first to be built here in 1989 and over the years has established an excellent reputation for both guiding and hosting. Open mid-April to mid-November, there are modest central areas looking out over the river and 9 guest tents with baths and outside showers.
By the standards of top end safari camps elsewhere Chiawa Camp remains a relatively simple construction, although the service, food and guiding are second to none. A rare combination of earthy and elegant, one of the very best.
