Chichele Lodge is located in a superb hilltop position the central sector of South Luangwa National Park and is open year round.
Built as a private home for ex-president Kaunda, Chichele is architecturally more like a tea estate than a safari lodge.
The lodge has recently come under new ownership and is currently under rennovation. We have been promised new imagery by August 2008.
Chichele Lodge is probably the best option for guests who want a more urban style of accommodation complete with aircon.
