This southern sector of the park sees far less traffic than central areas, decreasing southwards. The area does not have so well an established network of roads, so vehicle game-viewing is typically supplemented with a good deal of walking safari.
Camps are all very small and are all open in the dry season June to October, with only Kapamba being open May to December.
The first two sets of camps are under the same ownership, are commonly offered in combination and are accessed by road from the central Mfuwe area. Our favourite combo is probably Chamilandu and Zungulila.
Kalamu and Kwena Lagoon are under separate ownership and are accessed only by light aircraft from Mfuwe.
