We do not claim to be a charity, Africa is already chock full of charities. We believe that the best thing that we can do for Africa is to encourage the creation of good, honest and profitable businesses. We do this both through our own code of conduct and by chosing suppliers who we believe operate to similar standards.

What most of the countries that we deal with need more than anything is a larger and more effective middle class of citizens, well educated and with good jobs. These are the people who will be able to demand good governance from their leaders and these are the people who will be able to bring prosperity to their countries in the longer term.
