On a similar note, it seems very much the fashion these days for travel companies such as ours to put out statements on their environmental policy.

Whilst we do think that it is absolutely paramount that the highest levels of environmental standards are maintained by the lodge and safari operators, in reality it is clear that a travel company such as ours cannot run environmental audits on them all, nor is there presently any independent organisation offering this service.

So ultimately we do have to rely on our suppliers doing the right thing by the environment.
