For the first few years we ticked away, growing and developing very nicely, but never quite realising what an impact we were starting to have on the safari world.

The first hints of this came from our customers, who began with increasing frequency to tell us of how they bumped into friends who had also travelled with us. We even started to get reports of ATR parties which were taking place without our knowledge or involvement, as guests who met on safari got together to chew over their experiences and plan the next trip.

Another big wake-up for us was when suppliers started to come to us to ask what type of lodge they should build for our customers.
