Chiefs Camp is located in the Okavango Moremi area of northern Botswana.
Remotely situated on Chief's Island at the heart of the Okavango Delta, this high specification camp has pleasant public areas with views out over seasonal floodplains and eleven guest rooms, also set up on raised decks.
This part of the delta is actually contained within the national park, which means that the camp is not permitted to operate walking or night safari. Guests are often compensated by extremely rich game-viewing, notably including leopard and rhino.
Chiefs Camp is a solid high-end camp, but one which we feel fails to live up to its prime location and ultimately falls a long way short of its more illustrious neighbour, the outstanding Mombo Camp.
Furthermore there are at least a dozen other camps in the surrounding concessions which are able to deliver similar levels of experience at rather less inflated prices.
