January 2011 : Bivouac camping option : by lodge owner Riccardo

Greetings from the Kenya. I'm writing to give you some exciting news: Saruni Samburu, our signature lodge in the Kalama Wildlife Conservancy bordering with Samburu National Reserve, has a new fly camp available to our guests who want to combine the pampering of the main lodge with the thrill of sleeping in a very remote area of our conservancy, in a tent that is under the famously bright stars of Northern Kenya. The fly camp has to be booked in advance; the rates are the same as the main lodge (there is no extra charge); it accomodate 2 people only for the time being; it is a very simple but safe and comfortable tent; there is no electricity, no wi-fi, no telephone connection, no running water (bucket shower). It can be booked in combination with a booking at the main lodge, ideally at the beginning or at the end of the stay.
