Ngong House is located in the suburb of Karen, around 10km to the southwest of Nairobi city centre in central Kenya.
This large six hectare plot is centred around an old colonial bungalow.
Accommodation is in five very funky treehouses, two cottages and one room inside the main house, all designed and serviced to the highest standards.
Whilst the main house is pleasant rather than inspiring, the treehouses here are about as funky as rooms get in Africa.
The style may be a little out of kilter with the suburban environment and it may be pricey, but no doubting Ngong House is one of the better places to stay.
