Lujeri Lodge is located on the southwestern foot of Mount Mulanje in southeast Malawi.
The lodge is essentially one of the old management houses on this colonial tea plantation, which is available for private hire.
It is a classic tin-roof arrangement set in beautiful gardens, a time-capsule complete with chintz curtains and what seems to be the original staff.
Whether you fancy a serious hike up the mountain or some easier walking around the farm, this is an absolutely fabulous place to hole up and live the life of a colonial tea planter for a few days.
