This 400km stretch of the southern Mozambique coastline is centred on the town of Inhambane.
The whole area tends to be of pretty marginal interest to the majority of our guests, it being rather more difficult to access and rather less spectacular than the Bazaruto and Cabo Delgado areas further north.
Lodges in this area tend to be targetted at South African self-drivers, game fishing and independent travellers.
Despite having spent a good deal of time looking, we are yet to find any accommodation in this area that we are prepared to recommend.
Our website content is therefore rather thin at present, apologies for that!
The area with the most lodges is the long established and relatively laid back
Barra and Tofo.
