Hoanib Camp is located in the Damaraland North area of northwest Namibia.
Set in the extremely remote northwest corner of the huge
Palmwag concession, this wonderful little camp is a simple canvas affair, with just six guest tents and a modest open-sided mess.
Above all else, the camp offers utter wilderness, with gamedrives and walking safari in a pristine setting. Whilst game is naturally thin on the ground in somewhere as arid as this, desert elephant are often present in the dry river-bed below and there should be plenty of fascinating sightings to keep one occupied.
Hoanib Camp can only be accessed as part of a guided safari. We like to combine it with
Rhino Camp, which makes a very cool 4 or 5 night mini-safari to insert into the middle of a longer trip.
Hoanib Camp is presently closed, although we expect it to reopen shortly.
