Skeleton Coast Camp is incredibly remotely located in the fabulous and enormous Skeleton Coast North concession of northwest Namibia.

This remarkable camp is actually a pretty simple affair, a kind of cosy version of an Antarctic research station. The emphasis here is not on the lodge but on the access that it gives an amazing 16000 square kilometres of stunning wilderness. Inland trips provide gameviewing including desert elephant, giraffe and oryx, plus visits to authentic Himba villages, whilst out on the angry Atlantic huge seal lion colonies lie amidst shipwrecks and whale carcasses.

Skeleton Coast Camp is one of the most fabulous and unusual wilderness experiences on the continent, the only place we are tempted to rate 11/10. Virtually all the guests we have met in camp have been repeat visitors ... not the super-rich, but people who have discovered quite how amazing this place is and just can't do without it in their lives.

For a slightly lower cost option check Skeleton Coast Research Camp just around the corner.
