Northern Tanzania contains a collection of parks ... Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Manyara, Tarangire ... which together represent arguably the greatest safari area in all Africa ... certainly it is somewhere about which we are particularly passionate.

Because these parks are so close together, safari here is still generally carried out in the old fashioned way, by road, travelling with a private driverguide in a 4x4, usually staying in 3 or more different lodges over 5 to 12 nights.

The combination of awesome volcanic scenery, spectacular wildlife and colourful local tribes makes for a hugely varied and fascinating safari, broader but more demanding than the usual flying safari.

Whilst there are a few honeypot locations which can experience high traffic in peak seasons, fear not ... this is an enormous area and with judicious safari planning we can ensure as wild an experience as you wish.
