Onsea House is located around 7km to the east of the town of Arusha in northern Tanzania.
Set in a semi-rural location on a hillside south of the main highway, this small Belgian-owned lodge has just four guest rooms, so naturally offers higher levels of intimacy.
The main building, above the access road, contains the bar, lounge, restaurant and two guest rooms. Across the road a separate building contains two further guest rooms with a shared area in between. The pool is in the garden below.
Another slightly larger lodge,
Machweo, is on the adjacent plot and guests are usually free to use the facilities there too.
In common with all lodges in Arusha, this place is generally used in itineraries as a transit stop before a safari to Serengeti or a Kilimanjaro climb, although this is a very pleasant area and longer stays can also be very pleasant.
Onsea House is a very pleasant little lodge, run with great care and attention to detail, earning it a reputation for good food and service.
