Ikoma Camp is located in the Serengeti Central area of northern Tanzania.
Situated outside the northern border of the reserve, this small and relatively simple tented camp is set on open grassland and has eighteen tented rooms ranged either side of a pleasant central mess.
The camp is slightly disadvantaged by its situation, being both quite close to the main access road in and out of the park, as well as being a good distance from the core gameviewing areas.
On a more positive note, the camp enjoys good migration action May/Jun and Oct/Nov and offers modest walking and night-drives year round.
Ikoma Camp is by no means perfect, but it can be very pleasant and it is certainly attractively priced.
Often used in lower cost safaris in combination with related Tindiga Camp, Crater Forest Camp, Natron Camp and Speke Bay Lodge.
