Momella Lodge is located adjacent to Arusha National Park in northeastern Tanzania
Set in the northern sector of the reserve, this rather large and aged facility was made famous as the primary location of the 1950's Hollywood blockbuster 'Hatari', starring John Wayne as a swaggering animal catcher.
It is possible to actually watch the film whilst staying here, which is actually quite fun.
The lodge itself is rather simple.
We tend to recommend this location to our guests relatively rarely, but when we do we tend to lean towards the nearby Hatari Lodge.
