Tongabezi Lodge is located close to the Victoria Falls in Zambia.
This small lodge is set in an excellent quiet location on the north bank of the Zambezi river about 20km upstream from the falls.
Modest thatch and stone public areas are set under large leadwood forest, with a pool tucked under a low cliff above the river. Upstream are six pleasant cottage rooms, whilst downstream are five large and rather fabulous suites.
Service here is elegant and understated, with many of the activities around the lodge and visits into town being included in the price.
Tongabezi Lodge was the first really high quality lodge to be established in this area and its suite rooms were quite a sensation, since attracting many immitators.
