Given the political climate we have generally tended to avoid travel to
Zimbabwe in recent years.
Since 2009 however we have experienced a slight upturn in demand and our guests have slowly started to return, enjoying high quality safari and top notch guiding at relatively knock down prices.
Mana Pools is perhaps the very best location. Set on the southern bank of the Zambezi, this prime safari area still thumps with game. Above all it still offers probably the best canoe safari in Africa.
Hwange is another old favourite, where close up encounters with elephant, lion and leopard are virtually guaranteed.
The town of
Victoria Falls remains relatively little affected by the troubles and open to international guests, although we more often use lodges on the northern
Livingstone side of the river in Zambia.
