It is usually sold as a three night package which includes a visit to Addo National Park and the Born Free Foundation.

- safari here is relatively tame
- fenced reserve
- reclaimed farmland
- proximity of the main N2 highway
- proximity of human habitation
- lions enclosed in separate fenced area
- relatively simple accommodation
- severely compromised by its location

The lodge is set in a small plot on the other side of the N2, so needs to access the main reserve via a tunnel under the highway.
