Situated within the Amakhala fenced reserve which runs alongside the N2 highway for around 15km, to an average depth of only 3km. It largely comprises reclaimed farmland and is reasonably well stocked with game.

The lodge comprises 11 luxury thatched rooms with aircon and plunge pool, as well as large public areas overlooking a small waterhole.

It is usually sold as a three night package which includes a visit to Addo National Park and the Born Free Foundation.

- safari here is relatively tame
- fenced reserve
- reclaimed farmland
- proximity of the main N2 highway
- proximity of human habitation
- lions enclosed in separate fenced area
- relatively simple accommodation
- severely compromised by its location

The lodge is set in a small plot on the other side of the N2, so needs to access the main reserve via a tunnel under the highway.
