Andries Stockenstrom
is located in the town of Graaff-Reinet in the Eastern Cape region of South Africa.

Situated a couple of blocks back from the main street in Graaf-Reinet, this main building in this four star guest-house dates back to 1819. The lounge and dining room areas lead through to a shaded terrace to the rear and a hard containing a small pool. The seven guest rooms are all comfortable and well presented.

Activities in the area include exploring the old town and its museum, driving around Camdeboo National Park, hiking, horse-riding, quad-biking and golf.

+ reasonable low-range accommodation
+ owner-hosted
+ warm family feeling
+ authentic Karoo design
+ individually themed cottages
+ good food service
+ central location

- not a high-end facility
- swimming pool is very small

Andries Stockenstrom is a relatively modest place which struggles to live up to its billing as a high-end guest-house ... as corroborated by a very mixed bag of guest reviews.
