Azura Quilalea Private Island
is located in the Qurimbas South area of Cabo Delgado in the Northeast region of Mozambique.

Situated around 2km offshore, this private island lodge offers very high quality experience and is definitely one of the most remote and exclusive retreats in the country.

The lodge is centred on a modest main building which contains stylish lounge and dining areas, leading out to terraces containing a modest swimming pool. There is also a quiet television lounge, a spa and small watersports centre.

Guest accommodation is in a total of 9 rooms in two different specifications ...

Kusi and Kaskazi Villas : 8 : These beautifully appointed rooms all have private plunge pools and direct access to the ocean either via the beach or by ladders down the coral cliffs. The only difference is that the Kusini Villas get the sunrise and the Kusi Villas the sunset.

Villa Quilalea : 1 : Back on the southern side of the island, this room is again very similar, but is rather larger, notably the bathroom, and has a lovely infinity pool above the ocean.

Activities include diving, snorkelling, dhow sailing, kayaking, guiding and self-guided walking, island visits and beach picnics.

Access is usually via the airport at Pemba Town, which is directly connected by air to Johannesburg. From there it is a short helicopter transfer to the island.

Azura Quilalea is a top quality option, a stunningly beautiful island and a wonderful chic and polished lodge. Very special.
