is located in the Mkomazi
area in the northeast
region of Tanzania
This mid-range tented camp is the pioneering facility in the remote and little-visited Mkomazi National Park
It is set on a baobab clad hillside to the west of the park and looking out over a bowl of savanna surrounded by hills.
Although this is a permanent facility, it is more like a mobile camp in character, with a simple canvas mess area, pleasantly rudimentary campfire and comfortable guest tents with private bathrooms.
Activity is centred on vehicle safaris. In such an arid area wildlife can be rather sparse, although with the possibility of interesting sightings such as gerenuk and lesser kudu.
Babu's Camp is a very peripheral location which tends to only be visited by real safari enthusiasts who are more interested in visiting unusual backwaters than in finding a great deal of wildlife.
The usual stay duration is 2 to 3 nights.
