Baraza Resort and Spa
is located in the Bwejuu area on the east coast of Zanzibar Island off the Indian Ocean Coast of Tanzania.

It is a very high quality beach resort set on a magnificent white-sand beach at the back of a stunning coral lagoon. It is a very extensive property with elegant public areas, a choice of bars and restaurants, a large swimming pool, very pleasant beach-front area, a comprehensive watersports centre, 30 very comfortable guest suites, an extensive spa and a range of further facilities and activities. The resort is privately owned, has very professional staff and a reputation for excellent food.

The main potential downsides at Baraza Resort and Spa are that it is close to other properties and perhaps not quite to the level of other world class resorts. The beach is not private and very tidal, the lagoon does naturally have seaweed and sea-urchins. The lodge is too remote for some excursions around parts of the island, the diving is not the strongest on Zanzibar and there is very little in the way of night-life.
