Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel
is located in the Tamboerskloof area of Cape Town in the Western Cape of South Africa.

Opened in 1899, this landmark hotel was intended to rival the finest in Europe and to serve as a true outpost of Empire. Set immediately south of Company Gardens, the grand entrance leads up a palm-lined drive to this famously pink hotel. The underground car-park and back-of-house areas are less attractive, but once inside the experience recovers a little.

The hotel has over 200 rooms and an enormous range of facilities for both residents and function guests. Afternoon tea is something of an institution.
