is located in the Sossusvlei
in the Southwest
region of Namibia
Set on open plains close to the junction of the C19 and D854, around 45km from Sesriem, this simple motel type lodge proclaims itself as a Christian retreat, although appears to be open to self-drivers of all faiths and denominations.
Rooms are rather basic and there is a large campsite. The main building has a bar, restaurant and pool.
Guests can enjoy the usual Sossusvlei activities, with self-guided trips into the dunes and the canyon, with ballooning, quad-biking and horse-riding also available in the area.
Betesda Lodge really is a little too basic for most guests. Speaking from a non-secular point of view, there appear to be better options in the area.
