is located in the Fish River Canyon
area in the Southern
region of Namibia
Set within the privately-owned 1260 square kilometre Gondwana Canyon Park, this lodge is the most upmarket option in the area.
This relatively large lodge is most often used for large groups and coach parties. As such it tends to be less intimate and generally of less interest to smaller independent travellers. The lodge is supposedly built in the form of a village, although not so much that you would notice. The 42 thatch and stone rooms are ranged around a large central building and there is also a swimming pool.
Activities include walking, vehicle safari and horse-riding around the reserve, guided trips to the canyon viewpoints and even rhino tracking.
Canyon Village is perhaps the least attractive of the four properties on this reserve, but may be worth bearing in mind when the others are fully booked.
