Chilo Gorge Safari lodge
is located near the Gonarezhou National Park
in southeast Zimbabwe
Situated on top of a substantial cliff above the Save River, the lodge has fantastic panoramic views across into Gonarezhou National Park.
The main public area is constructed from stone and thatch. It contains a small library, bar dining and lounge areas, with a swimming pool out front. Guest accommodation is split into two areas. In the main camp and overlooking the view are ten detached chalets, each with a private veranda. A little distance away lies Nhambo Camp, which contains five self-catering chalets with a shared plunge pool, barbecue and kitchen areas.
Activities include vehicle safari, walking safari, motorboat safari and canoe safari.
Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge is a reasonably intimate and upmarket option, the best base from which to explore this remote reserve.
