, formerly known as Ichobezi Houseboats
, is located in the Caprivi Eastern Tip
area in the Caprivi Strip
region of Namibia
Operated out of Ichingo River Lodge
, these three houseboats each have a crew of five and a can accommodation up to eight guests.
The boats undertake multiple day cruises along the Chobe Waterfront, often managing to provide guests with some great riverbank wildlife viewing, most especially the herds of elephant which are famous for swimming the river. Being Namibian registered means that these boats are permitted to sail the river around the clock, so are able to have the place to themselves once the sun sets and the flotilla of small boats has returned to Kasane on the Botswana side. Activities are centred around wildlife viewing from the boat, but tenders are also available for fishing and bird-watching excursions. There is also a small plunge pool on board.
Chobe Princesses represent an interesting and quite upmarket option for those who would like to spend longer on this lovely waterfront, away from the crowds around Kasane.
